CTC Tea (Chai)

Assam tea steeps up to a deep ruby-colored liquid with a rich malty flavor tending toward the bitter side.

Teas from Dooars are dark and full-bodied, yet not as strong as Assam teas. The brew from this leaf is richly coloured, they taste spicy and liqueur-like. Both Assam and Doaars CTC tea takes milk well and can usually use a bit of sugar or other sweetener.

Black Orthodox Tea

Robust, assertive and strong, with malt, rose, and raisin flavors. This tea has briskness, malty flavor, and strong, bright color with astringent taste. Black tea retains its flavor for several years. Darjeeling Tea Gardens produce the best Black Orthodox teas. These teas are best taken directly without milk or sweetener.

Green Tea

Sweet, bittersweet, nutty, vegetal, buttery, floral, swampy, fruity, and oceanic. Steamed green teas tend to taste bittersweet (especially in the aftertaste), while other green teas tend to taste sweet.

Green teas are also served best without milk or sugar/sweetener.

White Tea

Floral, grassy, honey, fruity, melon, peach, apricot, vanilla, chocolate, citrus, herby, mild, subtle, delicate and sweet. White tea tastes light and slightly sweet. The taste of the brew is very light on the palate and is ideal for those who are not a big fan of strong, malty or astringent brews. White teas have the most delicate taste and it is the most widely sought after.
